The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., has officially received and approved the release of the 2025/2026 Primary School Placement Examination results, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to timely, transparent and efficient examination processes.

Receiving the results from the Director of Examinations and Certificates, Mr. Amaku Asuquo, the Commissioner commended the Director of the Examination Records Centre (ERC), Dr. Moses Agbereyo, and the entire examination team for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the prompt release of the results.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Professor Odey stated that the administration remains committed to fulfilling its promise of releasing public examination results within two weeks after the conduct of examinations.

The Commissioner announced that 95.90 percent of candidates passed the Primary School Placement Examination, while 4.10 percent did not meet the pass mark, describing the performance as a clear indication of the steady improvement in the quality of basic education across the state. Professor Odey attributed the successful conduct of the examination to the prompt release of funds by Governor Bassey Otu and expressed appreciation to the Governor for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the education sector through sustained investment and support.

He further announced that candidates can immediately access their results online through the Ministry’s examination portal, eliminating the need to visit the Ministry of Education or Local Government Education Authorities to obtain their results.

The Commissioner charged the examination team to sustain the momentum by ensuring the timely release of the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination (JSSCE) and SS 2 Mock results, while reiterating the Ministry’s commitment to efficiency, accountability and improved service delivery in line with the People First agenda of the Governor.
