Professor Patrick Nyong Asuquo, Vice Chancellor of the University of Education and Entrepreneurship Akamkpa, accompanied by Dr. Gabriel O. Egbe, Registrar, Dr Eyo Bassey Ekpe, Bursar, and select members of the University Governing Council, paid a courtesy / thank you visit to Senator (Associate Professor) Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education Cross River State, at the Ministry’s Headquarters Calabar, to express gratitude for his pivotal role in the establishment of the University.

The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the University delegation, commended the Commissioner for his instrumental role in actualizing the University of Education and Entrepreneurship Akamkpa and sought further collaboration and guidance in the University’s operations. The team acknowledged that the University’s full operation is a direct result of the Commissioner’s consistent memos and follow-up with the National University Commission, leading to the University’s approval.

The Commissioner warmly welcomed the Vice Chancellor, Professor Patrick Nyong Asuquo, and his team, extending his congratulations to the VC on his appointment. He assured the VC of his readiness to collaborate with the University and provide necessary support, acknowledging the crucial role played by His Excellency, Governor Apostle Bassey Edet Otu, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Anthony Owan Enoh, and the entire team, whose success is a testament to the Governor’s leadership. Noting that their past achievements demonstrated their worthiness for their appointments, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of upholding the Governor’s vision and mission of quality education in the institution’s operations, as His Excellency, Senator Apostle Prince Bassey Edet Otu, is dedicated to transforming the State education sector.
