Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Associate Prof) Stephen Odey, today summoned the Director Administration/Acting Chairman, Secondary Education Board Mr Paulinus Eno, Mrs Regina Adadu, HOD. Teaching Service SEB, Barrister Chris Etta, Board Disciplinary Committee SEB, Mr Augustine Ogar, Teachers Service Department (SEB) Ogoja zone, Mr Darlington Eze, Teachers Service Department (SEB) Ikom zone, and Mrs Elizabeth William, Teachers Service Department (SEB) Calabar zone, the above persons were in charge of the posting and transfer of Principals which has now been reversed by His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State.
The Commissioner frowns at the irregularities surrounding the transfer of Principals by Secondary Education Board (SEB), and is calling on anyone who made any financial transaction to anyone in an attempt to influence the now reversed posting / transfer to come to his office and report for further action.
Finally the Commissioner – Associate Prof Odey, mandated the Director Administration / Acting Chairman SEB, and others involved in the SEB posting and transfer to write a comprehensive report of all that transpired and submit to his office within 48 hours, as their report will be forwarded to His Excellency, Governor Bassey Edet Otu, for necessary action.
