The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Prof.) Stephen Odey, has received an Award of Recognition from the College of Education, University of Calabar, in acknowledgment of his numerous contributions to the advancement of education in the State.
The award, presented by Mrs. Offiong Ani Afiong, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, was originally conferred during the First Annual Conference of the College of Education, University of Calabar.
While presenting the award to Senator (Prof.) Odey, Mrs. Offiong commended his academic excellence, visionary leadership, and commitment to educational development in Cross River State.
In his response, the Commissioner expressed appreciation to the College of Education, University of Calabar, for the recognition, and to Mrs. Offiong for ably representing him and presenting the award. He reaffirmed his dedication to promoting policies and initiatives that will strengthen the education sector across the State.
