The Cross River Commissioner for Education Senator (Associate Prof) Stephen Odey, bagged an award of honour yesterday (Tuesday, September 3, 2024). The award was presented by the Cross River State Postgraduate Students’ Government – University of Calabar, during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner at the Ministry of Education Headquarters, Calabar.
The award is in recognition of his contributions for the growth and development of our State Education system, human capital development and philanthropic support to the society over the years. The Commander Order Award of CROSSPGRASA was presented by the President, Comrade Callistus Agianpuye, in the presence of other Executives. After the award presentation, was the investiture ceremony where the Commissioner was further decorated as their Patron, they finally made appeal for their ongoing project.
Associate Prof Odey – the Commissioner, warmly received and thanked them for the honour bestowed on him, he promised to do his best for the betterment of the Education sector and the society at large. He charged them to take their studies seriously by making it their top priority, he advised while promising to be in constant communication with the them, and to give his support for their project in due course.
